The Deda Dog Fang is a small plastic accessory known as a 'chain keeper' which attaches to your bicycle to prevent your chain falling off the inside of your smallest chain ring. Many pro mechanics are now fitting them to team bikes.
The chain can fall off the inside chain ring on even the best adjusted bike. It may not happen often, but when it does happen, it always seems to be at the worst possible moment, for example on a steep hill. You have to stop to put the chain back on, you get oil stains on your fingers and then you struggle to get moving again.
How much better would it be to be able to power your way into the hill in a high gear, confident that you could safely change to your small chain ring when you needed to?
The chain keepers are available in three sizes and you must make sure that you get the right one for your bike. Measure the diameter of your seat tube (if you don't know it and can't look it up on the bike manufacturer's website). I found the size of my seat tube by closing a big adjustable spanner on it and then measuring across the jaws of the spanner. Crafty, huh? NB This measurement is the outside of the tube - your seat post fits inside the tube so that is not the diameter that you want!
The Fang is fitted to the bottom of your seat tube, below your front derailleur.
If you have a bike with a non-circular tube, or one that is an unconventional size, then you are out of luck. The devices are available in 3 sizes: 28.6 mm, 31.8 mm, and 34.9 mm.
I dropped my chain 3 times in one ride recently, each time on a steep hill. Result: dirty hands and frustration! I fitted a Dog Fang to my bike after that. Since I fitted the device, I haven't fluffed a chain ring change. I've looked at the Fang after riding and I can see oily marks on it, so the chain definitely falls onto it from time to time, but it then obviously slides back onto the chain ring where it should be.
The devices don't cost much, they don't weigh much, they aren't particularly noticeable unless you look for them so they don't spoil the appearance of your bike and they do what they are supposed to do. They get my 100% recommendation!

How to Clean Your Silver Chains
Taking care of your Silver Jewelry
Silver jewelry is elegant to flaunt but is prone to tarnish on exposure to saline water or air. It is cheaper than gold and diamond but in looks and appearance, it is no less than that. Silver jewelry is available in varied forms to give every woman the complete diva look. People who are often allergic to other metals can wear Sterling silver, which is safe to wear.
There are various ways to clean and care for your silver jewelry. Some of these methods are:
Electrolytic Cleaning Solution for a Tarnish Free Jewelry
It is a quick and easy method to clean the sterling silver jewelry to keep it tarnish free. It is essential for the maintenance of your jewelry. All that is required is a sink or glass dish, hot water, baking soda, salt and aluminum foil. While preparing the cleaning solution, be careful and vigilant. Pour steaming hot water in the foil-lined container and then add two tablespoons baking soda for every one tablespoon of salt to the water. Finally keep the silver jewelry into the solution and after some time you will be able to observe that the tarnish has disappeared. Then gently sponge down the Silver Chains with water and fawn it dry with soft towel. Sponge it safely as silver is a very delicate metal and can be hampered if not treated carefully. Never use paper, polyester or any other coarse fabrics as they contain synthetics or wood fibers and can cause small scratches to form on the beautiful sterling silver jewelry. Keeping these precautions in mind, the tarnished sterling silver can be transformed into admirably new-look jewelry.
By using the above-mentioned method, you can make your jewelry shine magnificently.
Use a spray polish- effective method
This is a valuable method to transform your tarnished silver chains into new and fresh look. It is done by using a soft hackle brush or an expanded brush or a jewelry horse hair brush, dipped in a mild soap. The brush should be cleaned well before applying on the ornaments. Spray a good quality polishing spray on the tarnished jewelry and then let it dry out for a couple of minutes. After few minutes, wipe off with pure cotton or any other soft cloth. However, be careful to keep the spray off the porous gemstones. It is preferable to spray the cleaner directly on the cloth and then rub it on the area around the gemstone with the cloth rather than to clean it by spraying directly on the gemstone.
Hence, to add sparkle and shine on the sterling silver Chains, use this method with the soft brush or soft cotton.
Apart from these, you can avoid tarnishing the jewelry by stocking up the jewelry in a plastic zip-lock bag. However, if the jewelry is worn daily, this helps in safeguarding it as the body oil helps to minimize tarnishing.

My chain ring on my bmx started to shake can someone tell me what to do?
my chain-ring on my bmx has started to shake and when i pedal it will just lock and i don't know what to do. i can see some of the insides of the the chain-ring while im riding so somebody please help me
if you don't know how to fix take to a bike shop have them adjust bb cups & chek locknut on ring. ask if you could watch so that you can see what was wrong and how to chek in future.
